Angela’s journey into senior living started in 2013 when she was hired as an Associate Director of Resident Care for one of the largest Long-Term Care homes in the Niagara Region. In 2014, she was promoted to Director of Resident Care, during this time she gained knowledge and expertise about the industry, dementia and Alzheimer’s disease as well as strengthen her solid leadership skills.

 

In 2018, she was hired as a part time Nurse Educator, at Niagara’s College. As a Nurse Educator she delivered sound nursing knowledge to International Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, and Personal Support Workers. 

 

Employed as a Community Clinical Supervisor from 2018 – 2022 with Para Med Home Health Care; her key responsibilities included providing support and direction to Palliative Care Nurses and personal support workers in a community or home setting, coordination of training and education when required as well as, assess clients’ needs as it relates to personal care and safety in their home. The positions Angela has held over the years has promoted her growth as a leader and educator in the industry. Angela believes in bringing excellence to everything she does and enjoys inspiring others to do the same.

In November 2019, Angela received an offer to join Estates of Niagara as a Consultant to assist in the development and implementation of an Independent Support Living (ISL) model in order to allow our future Residents to age gracefully while maintaining their independence in one of our Lifestyle communities.

Angela holds a Diploma in Nursing, and certificates in Human Resources specializing in Disability Management, a certified Health Coach, and recently obtained her certification as a Professional Consultant on Aging. A strong believer in the importance of Seniors maintaining relationships, creating, and having a purpose in order to achieve meaning in their lives, are the building blocks of her philosophy.

 

Angela resides in the Niagara area; she has 2 adult children living in British Columbia where she enjoys spending time visiting. Angela is physically active, maintains a positive attitude which are the foundation to her success as a leader. Her interest includes health coaching, leadership and travelling. Angela understands the importance of physical health by maintaining an exercise routine that challenges her physically and in turn promotes a positive attitude.
